Open Access Publishing
Open access (OA) means making research publications freely available for the public to read and re-use. It is part of the larger open science movement. HKU, as a signatory to Berlin Declaration on Open Access, encourages and supports researchers to publish research articles in open access.
Open Science
Open science is an umbrella term that involves various movements aiming to remove the barriers to sharing any output, resources, methods or tools at any stage of the research process. It includes open access to publications, open research data, open peer review, open educational resources, open monographs, citizen science, and more.
ORCID
ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a persistent unique identifier that follows an individual throughout their career, and it is composed of a group of 16-digit numbers that could distinguish you from other researchers.
ReadingList (Instructors)
ReadingList enables instructors to curate and manage course reading materials to ensure students can access essential readings and materials with a few clicks. Quick access can be made on Moodle.
ReadingList (Students)
ReadingList@HKUL is an online list of all the reading materials you need for your course. You can easily access all your readings, such as item records on Find@HKUL, existing library e-resources, online webpages, and documents, in one place!
